On Monday August 16th, 2021, The Chaldo Assyrian Student Movement and Youth Union Duhok branch launched the opening of the mini football tournament in honor of the late Ashur Sargon Eskrya. With the support of Mrs. Renya Benjamin and Dr. Joseph Danavi in coordination with Assyrian Aid Society of America and Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq.
The first match began between team Ishtar and Mar Youkhna, with the participation of sixteen different teams.
